NEXUS 2014

So I guess I have a little news. “Florathuroidea” was selected as one of 19 pieces for the NEXUS 2014 International Indoor Sculpture exhibit, as part of the Dogwood Arts Festival in Knoxville. See all the entries HERE.

If you recall, “Hydrotropia” was selected last year (different juror) and I received my first ever award for sculpture. Except for Aletha Carr‘s “Marbles #1″, there is very little color in this year’s grouping, so it”ll be interesting to see how it’s curated in the space.

The opening reception is tomorrow at the Downtown UT Gallery from 5-9pm, and I’ll be there rain or shine (unless it’s Noah-type-rain and/or tornados, then forget it!).

  1. I know I’m not a disinterested, objective observer, but still I want to say… I think yours is the most creative work of the bunch, and though I wish I could visit with many of them, your piece is just magical. I’m so stinkin’ proud of you and your diligence to pursue your own vision.
